The 1/8" stainless steel legs on these weights will lock on to the bottom in extreme heavy current and is considered top of the line when it comes to holding power. These are some of the best most proven weights on the planet. Please be advised that these weights will be very difficult to reel in. They typically do not break as easy as copper and sometimes will drag all the way in. It is recommended to use a 2 speed reel with 100-200lb class line (50w, 80w, or 130).
